Art Teaching (Under Construction)

I have a deep and abiding love of all forms of creative expression, artistic and craft. From amateur photography to jewelrymaking and silkscreen printing, the most fun I've had as an artist was being exposed to new process and techniques wildly unlike anything I've done before. Our schools have unparalleled ability to expose students to the arts and to support artistic exploration of these varied media and processes, giving students the opportunity to discover a connection to the arts that they otherwise would not. While I mostly do drawing and digital painting these days, I would never have gotten where I have as an artist without the early success and connection with sculpture and mixed media art, which were only a small aside within my otherwise very drawing and painting heavy secondary art education. Because of that, it is my personal goal to make the expanse of artistic possibility as accessible as I physically can.
